Mon. April 10: 11:30am-12:45pm
Topics will be comparisons of the current divided workforce to establish educational, certification and real-world applications. Bell will share his perspective from the military – where BMETs are responsible for everything (medical, imaging, dental), and the flexibility, cost savings for the organization, and personal growth opportunities that can truly empower the technician who is stuck on one side of the fence and would like to become both. In the long term, this could push the field toward more cross-trained and valuable techs, as well as provide hospitals flexibility when hiring by looking at core qualifications, and be able to do more with less.
