Tech Knowledge Associates will present a case study showing how they have successfully built their alternative equipment maintenance (AEM) program. TKA will illustrate the processes related to the template for preparation and layout, as well as how they utilized their inventory to isolate patient care equipment into the four categories based on their MTBF that determines probability of failure. In addition, they will identify all resources used and associated documentation to support their process, and show their risk assessment process from beginning to end. This will include identifying medical device, assessing (calculation to achieve MTBF), category selection, and implementation.
